Veterinary Cooperative Oncology Group (VCOG)

Welcome to the home page for the Veterinary Cooperative Oncology Group.

The VCOG was founded as a group of individuals within the Veterinary Cancer Society who shared an interest in veterinary and comparative oncology and recognized the advantage of bringing together resources from across the community who could provide expertise and widespread access to companion species patient databases. The VCOG serves to create Consensus Documents designed to standardize aspects of veterinary clinical oncology practice.

VCOG also serves as a source of recruitment for expertise and personnel in multi-center prospective clinical trials. While there is no source of funding directly available to VCOG to initiate and complete clinical trials, the membership serves as a sounding board for trial ideas and design and to gauge interest from locations spread over a large geographic area. The VCOG also serves to plan and complete simple, low-cost, prospective interrogations of interest to the veterinary oncology community. Those who join VCS may become a meber of VCOG at no additional cost.
